We therefore seek to work with suppliers who, like us, uphold the highest ethical and environmental standards, and are committed to continuous improvement and progression on their sustainability journey. Wherever possible we strive to work with suppliers who go beyond regulatory compliance and demonstrate leadership when it comes to sustainability.
We expect our suppliers to share our commitments and approach and accordingly expect them to adhere to the guidelines set out in this supplier code of conduct (the ‘Code’). Accordingly, any supplier of Good & Proper Tea must indicate their agreement to comply with the Code.

Code of Conduct:
Transparency & Traceability
- Good & Proper Tea and its suppliers are jointly responsible for delivering continuous improvement in social and environmental matters. With transparency one of our most valuable assets, any people or companies that do business with Good & Proper Tea are expected to carry out their business with our company professionally and comply with our high standards of honesty, quality and fairness.
Employment Standards
- Suppliers shall ensure that no underage labour has been used in the production or distribution of goods and services to Good & Proper Tea. Underage labour is any labour involving any person either under the minimum (i) employment age according to the laws of the country where the product or services are sourced from, or (ii) age for completed mandatory education.
- Suppliers shall not use or tolerate in their supply chain any form of slavery, servitude, indentured, bonded, involuntary prison, military or compulsory labour or any form of human trafficking. All work must be conducted voluntarily and without threat of any undue penalty or sanctions.
- Suppliers shall respect the rights of workers to associate or not to associate with any group, as permitted by and in accordance with, all applicable laws regarding freedom of association and collective bargaining.
- Suppliers shall promote an inclusive and diverse work environment with equal opportunities, fair and equitable treatment for workers, a recruitment process that does not unlawfully discriminate against any person based on age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, colour, disability, religion, political affiliation, union membership, national origin or marital or pregnancy status; and a workplace free from any form of harassment or threat of harassment.
- Suppliers shall ensure that wages and working hours comply with applicable local laws
- Suppliers must provide safe and clean conditions for workers at all its working and residential facilities. Clear procedures must be in place to ensure regulated occupational health, safety and wellbeing standards are adhered to.
