Good & Proper Tea is committed to sourcing the best quality teas, from suppliers who share our values. In doing so, and in sharing the way we work along the way, we hope to help raise industry standards when it comes to sustainably sourced tea.

We are proud to say that:

• We are committed to paying a fair price to the producers for all of our teas, often above Fairtrade.
• We can trace every sack of tea we buy back to the estate on which it was grown
• We have numerous long-standing relationships with our producer partners, some as long as 10 years, and we are committed to growing sustainably together.

Suppliers

When selecting the tea producers we work with, we prioritise the following criteria:

1. Quality: we look for tea producers that are able to consistently produce high-quality tea.
2. Sustainability: we take a holistic approach to sustainability, looking for producers that demonstrate a commitment to protecting the environment and the community around them. This may not always mean certification by a 3rd Party eg Rainforest Alliance, though many of our producing partners are certified.
3. Ethics: we ask all of our suppliers to commit to our Supplier Code of Conduct.
